Emily M. Bender, PI. LinGO Grammar Matrix.
The LinGO Grammar Matrix is a framework for the development of broad-coverage, precision, implemented grammars for diverse languages. It consists of a cross-linguistic core grammar initially developed on the basis of broad-coverage implemented HPSG grammars of English (the LinGO ERG), German, and Japanese (the JACY grammar), and a grammar customization system that allows users to create working grammar fragments based on language-specific specifications. The resulting grammar fragments map strings to semantic representations and are compatible with DELPH-IN technology for both parsing and generation.
