Bantu base Afrika, or People of Africa, is a Study Abroad program focusing on South Africa and its multilingual society.The program provides strong experience-based exposure to complex language, cultural and development issues faced by contemporary South Africans. It offers two tracks: one on population health and public health research in populations simultaneously affected by HIV and traditional chronic diseases of aging, and another on advanced topics on multilingualism and languages in contact in social life.
