KUOW's Deborah Wang recently interviewed UW sociolinguist Alicia Beckford Wassink about characteristic speech of Pacific Northwest inhabitants. The accompanying article entitled "Do Pacific Northwesterners Have an Accent?" also features Dr. Betsy Evans and Ph.D. candidate John Riebold.
