SEMANTICS AND SYNTAX OF TENSE THIS SEMINAR DISCUSSES THE DETAILS HOW DIFFERENT FORMS OF TENSE ARE ANALYZED SYNTACTICALLY AND CONTRIBU TO SEMANTIC INTERPRETATIONS OF LARG STRUCTURES. OUR DISCUSSION WILL CEN ON ENGLISH AND JAPANESE, BUT DATA F OTHER LANGUAGES WILL ALSO BE INTRODUCED TO DISCUSS SOME THEORETI POINTS. A PRIOR SEMANTICS CLASS IS REQUIRED TO TAKE THIS CLASS.
